Characters from the games come and go around her: Jill Valentine from Apocalypse, Claire Redfield and Albert Wesker from Extinction, Chris Redfield from Afterlife, Leon S. Kennedy, Ada Wong and Barry Burton in Retribution.
Welcome to Raccoon City (2021) drops Alice and retells the first two games in one night of 1998: the STARS team at the Spencer Mansion and Claire and Leon at the police station. Johannes Roberts wrote and directed it.
Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil (2026) follows a new character, the courier Bryan, and draws on Resident Evil 2, 3 and 4 rather than retelling any one of them. It is the best-reviewed film in the franchise.
