2002
Alice wakes up in a mansion with no memory and goes down into the Hive, Umbrella’s underground laboratory, with a commando team after the Red Queen has sealed it. Paul W. S. Anderson wrote and directed the 2002 film.
Sony Pictures and Capcom first hired George A. Romero to write and direct the film. His script was rejected by Constantin producer Bernd Eichinger and Capcom producer Yoshiki Okamoto, and Paul W. S. Anderson took over.

Principal photography began on 5 March 2001. Locations included U-Bahnhof Bundestag, a Berlin U-Bahn station that was still unfinished, as well as Kaserne Krampnitz and Schloss Lindstedt.
